This was in this spot when I went into the grocery store.
This was in the spot when I came out. Which would you choose to drive?
On a warm sunny day, I’m thinking I’d choose the Oldsmobile.

Harold Coupe, if it's not the V6.

The one with a door that still closes all the way.

That mid-2000’s Texas license plate, which seems extinct now, doe.
A car just like that rear ended my sister in 2013. Super light tap.

I agree, but we must be more tolerant of those afflicted with poor judgement.

I didn’t check. Why not the V6?

Yet a bunch of people in Georgia keep registering their On My Mind plates that were supposed to disappear years ago. Like we get it, you’re stable when it comes to registering vehicles, you’ve lived here forever, and you’re 50+ years old, but that plate with the faded county sticker needs to retire, please. My parents gave up their On My Mind plate in 2012 and got Peach State ones.

More Miami Vice than a white Ferrari.

The autos in those are infamous for grenading at low miles, and if that 7th gen has a V6, it unfortunately has that transmission.

As long as the state lets you renew the tags by mail, some people will keep going. My plates are so boring I don’t care what I have.

Isn’t that what happened to THB?

Alabama gets a new plate every five years it seems like, which is a polar extreme. My sister’s Rogue used to have a Support Wildlife tag (back when my mom drove it), but because revenue went to the state instead of wildlife, my parents quit paying for it and got a Peach State plate instead. So, the Rogue seems like a used car purchased in 2012 with a Peach State tag.
We’re at the point now where Peach State tags have been around for so long that older Peach State tags are being transferred. My mom’s Peach State tag from 2012 got transferred to her 2016 CR-V, and my dad’s 2015 Peach State tag is on his new Canyon. It’s crazy that it’s already been seven years.
I need to go to bed. Or study; that’s what I was gonna do.

Lol. You’re right. The color makes me think Don Johnson, but the model is more retiring.

That’s fine more for the rest of us.

Gimme the W-body. Hopefully it’s got the troublesome LQ1 engine, too. It’s a maintenance nightmare, but a blast when it works. I loved these things in high school, and a classmate had a white one with a 3.1 V6. Slow and very 90s GM, but they looked neat!
![]() 03/11/2019 at 01:55 |

The V6 didn’t feel slow at the time. 20 yr old me felt like a shark in the road.

The LQ1 (3.4 DOHC 24-valve) wasn’t slow, but the 3.1 was pretty pokey. I guess to a youngin’ a lot of things feel fast, though!

I’d take the Merc until it breaks then sell it or something.

OOOOOO, Teal Cutlass, count me in!

I like both and it’d be a nice 2 car garage, but I’d rather have the Benz because speed and comfort
